FFA members teach area youth

Students from the McDonald County High School FFA chapter recently had the opportunity to visit Anderson Elementary School.

During the visit, FFA members discussed the benefits of various livestock with kindergarten and first grade students.

FFA members brought in a beef calf, dairy calf, pig, horse, pony, rabbit, sheep, chicken and a puppy.

All of these animals play a variety of roles for livestock producers in the area. This opportunity also allowed high school students to interact one-on-one with younger children in a positive setting.

With many of these students graduating this year, this interaction has allowed these members to continue to leave a positive influence for other members to follow.
